Divorce & Separation Support
For a foreigner married to a Vietnamese citizen, two foreigners married in Vietnam, or a Vietnamese spouse whose partner is abroad — where the marriage is ending and the questions are the court, the children, the assets and the documents issued abroad. Not a counselling or reconciliation service, and never advice on whether to divorce. The working scope is confirmed only after reviewing the circumstances, available records and current requirements.
What you receive
- 01
Options briefing before any filing — In one written session: agreed versus contested divorce, which court has jurisdiction when one spouse is abroad, what each route costs in time and money, and what the law says about children and property in your situation — in your language.
- 02
Document set made usable in Vietnam — Marriage certificate, children's birth certificates, foreign court papers, proof of address or absence abroad — legalised or apostilled and translated as the Vietnamese court requires; this is where cross-border files lose months.
- 03
Children and assets position paper — A neutral written summary of custody, support and property as they stand and as the law treats them, so negotiation starts from facts rather than fear — with the assets and documents you control listed in one place.
- 04
Petition and filing with licensed family counsel — The petition, agreement or defence drafted and filed by a licensed Vietnamese family lawyer from our panel, engaged under mandate with fees disclosed; LotusGuard prepares the file, attends with an interpreter and keeps the timeline.
- 05
Cross-border coordination — Where a spouse is abroad: service of documents, judicial assistance requests and the realistic waiting time explained in advance; where a foreign decree exists: recognition in Vietnam instead of a second divorce.
- 06
Residence and status after the decision — For a foreign spouse whose visa or residence card depends on the marriage: the lawful options after the decree, planned before the card expires — not discovered at the counter.
- 07
Confidential handling — One coordinator, one channel you choose, no updates to anyone you have not named, and documents returned or deleted on the schedule in your engagement letter.

Legal notice
LotusGuard coordinates your divorce or separation file: options briefing, document preparation, timeline, interpretation and liaison with the court and partner family-law counsel. Representation before the court is conducted by licensed Vietnamese counsel engaged under the LotusGuard mandate, with the relationship disclosed and no referral commission taken. LotusGuard does not advise anyone to divorce, does not conceal assets or children's whereabouts, and refers any situation involving violence to the appropriate authorities and support services first. This is an independent advisory deliverable, not a legal opinion issued by a licensed law practice.
